Martin Gill of De Monchy Aromatics Ltd is pleased to announce the opening of their first overseas office in Shanghai, China. With Asia the world's fastest growing economic region, this new office will allow us to continue to expand the high quality services that we already provide for our customers in a market where local knowledge is paramount.
Described as the dragon's head and leading force of economic growth for the region, Shanghai is the largest city and industrial base within the People's Republic of China. As the first port to be opened to Western trade in 1843, the Shanghai of the 20s and 30s was one the world's most cosmopolitan cities.
With such a colourful past and frenetic present, in the very near future we expect to see Shanghai return to the top as one of the world's major international and financial trading centres. The opening of this new office will allow us to initiate proceedings that will in turn strengthen our business position in China and solidify our presence in this region.
In order to engage these markets most effectively, the establishment and development of relationships locally is paramount. At De Monchy we know this and with a foothold in this region, we are now even better placed to serve our customers.
Of the opening of the Shanghai office, Henry Gill of De Monchy Asia said, "We cannot afford to underestimate the importance of China in today's economy. The opening of a local office in Shanghai with our people on the ground puts us in a very strong position. With this I feel confident that we can look forward to doing greater business in this region and improving the service that we provide to both our current and future customers. |
